Hmm just a screenshot of a desktop wallpaper I'm making for a friend, who keeps yelling at me to do it. >:| She's such a slavedriver. OTL;;;; Playing around with outlines and a slightly different way of shading... and also textures. P: Still very unfinished though.

Apparently I lost the sketchbook I keep at home last summer when we went on vacation... ): Luckily, my little brother *so kindly* gave me his, after tearing out what little pages he used. As a "christmas present" OTL. Haha err. Drawing eyes is fun. :D

BATRAYYY!!! Yenno like batman but a batray?? :P and like... yeah k im gonna stop. xD So I told myself I'd sleep at 1am today because I finished my math set at 9pm. Then I was like "okay, 2am is more realistic". Then I decided I should put something legit on this. And... well. OTL; I've had this idea for a few weeks now ever since I watched my friends play Batman: Arkham Aslyum and later was looking up batrays because I wanted to draw them... and made this weird connection. xD More epic background coming later. x:

Rainbow Vomit

I started this last summer in an attempt to make some sort of tribute to two bands I really love- Genki Rockets and Owl City. I wanted it to be really ridiculously colorful and awesome... basically, I was inspired by this one artist on deviantart, pronouncedyou. I never finished though... and now looking back on it... while I achieved the colorful part... it just looks like rainbow vomit, not awesome. xD That being said, I don't think this will ever be finished, because I would just want to completely redo it. Welp.

(The songs I wanted to incorporate, if you were wondeirng, were Starline, Heavenly Stars, Hot Air Balloon, Strawberry Avalanche, and Fireflies. They're all awesomeeee. I wish more people knew about Genki Rockets.)

The Scarlet Letter

I made this a while ago as the design for Avery's tshirt this year, only because my friend asked me to. I'm putting it up today though because I have nothing else to show, and he asked me to modify it several times today... it's one of the first things I've done on CS4 so far. I'm still really not used to where everything is on CS4... sigh. ><; It's weird suddenly making / being asked to make so many tshirt designs recently... since it's definitely not what I think of as my "expertise". Actually... I've never thought about it doing this kind of thing at all before. I still prefer drawing to making logos/designs/whatevs.

Hahahaha. Yeah that sums it up. This is shit. xDD Hopefully a year from now I'll laugh at this post and think "Yeah that was complete crap. but I'm way better now." Hopefully. So I got my hands on Adobe Master Suite yesterday, which made me increeedibly excited. (: Mostly because it had Adobe Illustrator, which is what all the awesome vector artists use, since...it's a program actually geared towards vector art, unlike my ghetto way of doing it in photoshop. After three hours of trying it out though, this is all I have to show for it. It looks like such shit, omg. xD -shame- The worst part is, I couldn't figure out how to flatten the layers and save it into a png or jpg etc. It turns out you can't even really crop on Illustrator. wtf?? It's all just... so much more confusing than photoshop. ): -cries- I'm totally going to master this though. Eventually. Stupid learning curve.

Return to the Past

Sooo. I was going to upload something else, but tonight after finishing my last midterm (whoo! xD) I didn't feel like working for the rest of the night. So I randomly decided to take a walk around campus at night! (: I'm definitely not a photographer, but it's fun taking pictures anyway and pretending to be. XD While taking pictures / walking, I stopped by this tree because I thought it was really cool looking. The weird thing is that when I took the picture, the lighting made the tree green... and it reminded me instantly of the children's book The Giving Tree. (:

Hii! (: God, I'm making another blog. This is going to be a little different though; less of me whining about life, and more of me trying to improve at something I really like doing in my spare time. Drawing. (and by spare time, I mean time when I don't feel like working; not necessarily expendable time.) I already have a deviantart and stuff... but going on dA is both very depressing and inspiring. Also, I feel like I'm only supposed to upload legit or finished work there, which is hard for me to do when college life is so much busier than high school.

Sooo first post! While studying for my french midterm, I had a sudden strong urge to doodle, so here it is. :P It looks like a demonic batray. It wasn't before... but I screwed up the eyes, so I had to change them. x: I wasn't really thinking about anything when I did this... which would explain the completely random color choice...

Anyway, I should just stop rambling. (:
